Engineer Khalid Osman (EE, MBA)

President

Khalid Osman has over ten years of corporate experience having worked for several companies including Shell Oil, Caterpillar, Alcoa and recently with Vermont Electrical Power as a Senior Engineer. Khalid Osman holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, class of 2007. In 2018, he obtained his MBA from Washington State University with Marketing concentration. His area of focus is organization development and Transformation. Khalid is also involved in several initiatives focused on renewable and solar development in Sudan. His hobbies include writing, and reading.

Dr. Sosan Abdallah

Vice President

Dr. Sosan Abdullah, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, has a wealth of experience in the field of Nephrology. After completing her internal medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, she now serves as a consultant Nephrologist at Salisbury VA Medical Center. Dedicated to community well-being, Dr. Abdullah chaired the Sudan House COVID-19 Emergency Response Medical Committee from 2020 to 2023. She also participated in leading initiatives such as coordinating free medical clinics. Her passion lies in volunteering to provide medical care and education to underserved populations. Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Abdullah finds joy in spending quality time with her family and indulges in hobbies like traveling and hiking.

Dr. Amani Eltahir

Women and Children Affair Secertary

Dr. Amani has a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and a M.S. from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. Also, she has a M.S. in Quality Assurance from California State University and a Ph.D. degree from NC A&T State University.

Dr. Amani works as an expert in food safety & microbiology, providing consultation to the food retail industry on food safety programs, prevention and control, and risk assessment. In her role she leads and contributes to the research and development of antimicrobial products, food equipment, and data analytics. Her contributions are illustrated in patents, research papers, and publications.

Furthermore, her role as a subject matter expert is to contribute to the development of industry guidelines through reputable organizations like Conference of Food Protection and The Association of Food and Drug Officials.

She believes in the importance of service and community. She started volunteering in high school when she taught science to blind children in her hometown. She remains committed to volunteering in Projects that assist children, support seniors, and empower women. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching movies.
